Bug Box’s educational programs are designed to introduce students to the wonder of insects and other arthropods.
Programs can be customized to enhance any insect curriculum and provide an exciting opportunity to see live insects and arthropods from around the world!
It is a wonderful extension activity for those classrooms looking for an exciting way to add to your basic science lessons and looking for ways to connect to the Standards of Learning.
Educational programs are recommended for children ages 3 through adult. All programs are age appropriate to the group.
We can pack and the bugs and travel to you. Large group programs are available at your school, child care center or facility. Up to 50 children (or adults) per session. Discounts for multiple concurrent presentations.
Small group programs (up to 25 in attendance) conducted at the Bug Box location are forty-five minutes long and are customized to your group’s needs. These programs include a tour of the insect zoo and an opportunity to view hundreds of specimens on display. Children will learn about how important bugs are to people and the environment.
